STOLBY, THE cHAPEL, rOEV RUCHEY AND KRASNOYARSK HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER STATION    

Krasnoyarsk nature reserve "Stolby" (the "Columns") is located in 12 km away from the city. This is an unique phenomenon. The set of books and articles were written about it, the set of movies were made. Many songs and poems are devoted to it, it is a source of inspiration for artists. Thanks to "Stolby" Krasnoyarsk is known for all over the world. It is a pride of Krasnoyarsk!
You will walk along the tourist path (3 km), and adrenaline buzz lovers will be able to try to rise by one of the columns. During the tour you will be told a lot of legends and myths about the reserve "Stolby". The Shape of each rock is so unique, almost all of the columns have it's own names –  Grandfather, the First Column, Feathers (perhaps, the most well-known rocks), Takmak, Elephant, etc. The tourist region of the "Stolby" covers almost a half  of thousand hectares.
We recommend to wear comfortable sport shoes.

In 25 km away from the Krasnoyarsk there is a village Ovsyanka where the great Soviet writer, our fellow countryman Victor Astafyev lived and worked. The tour program includes visiting of an observation deck "Tsar Ryba" (Emperor Fish), where you will make magnificent photos of the Yenisei River and neighboring mountains.
Visiting of the country house of Astafyef's grandmother, his house-museum, the quay with a memorial cross devoted to the first Cossacks, a rural church.

Flora and fauna Park "Royev Ruchey" (stream of Royev) is one of the largest Zoos of Siberia, it is located in picturesque vicinities of Krasnoyarsk, near the nature reserve Stolby. The unusual nature and clean air of taiga create great conditions for habitation and reproduction of animals.
There is fantastic collection of wild animals and birds for severe Siberian climate. More than 700 individuals of wild animals, birds, reptiles are brought to Krasnoyarsk from the different countries and parts of the world. Here you can find such rare species as an Amur tiger, a snow leopard, a far Eastern leopard, Steller's sea eagles, white-naped cranes...  And there are also the well-known Siberian mountain goats – the rare species which is now in the Red List.
