The facade of the museum is designed in the Egyptian style. 

The Museum of Local Lore opens again for its visitors – after full reconstruction which lasted nearly 14 years. The Krasnoyarsk museum of Local Lore is remarkable not only with its unique exhibits but also with its rewards. The museum has more than 30 grants of foreign and Russian humanitarian funds. 

 In 2008 museum got the status «especially valuable object of a cultural heritage of Krasnoyarsk Region» . In 2012 memorial project "Last bow to Victor Astafyev. Memory Road" it is awarded the All-Russian historico-literary award «Alexander Nevsky».

Slightly below the chapel is a cannon – the well-known howitzer M-30 a sample of 1938, in memory of Cossacks - founders of Krasnoyarsk. With single shot it reports about approach of midday. 

Today the chapel became a favourite place of visits for inhabitants and city visitors. There hundreds brides and grooms go here to make a declaration of love to each other and to native Krasnoyarsk city. 

This symbol of the city decorates a ten-ruble banknote of new Russia.

Fountains surprise with not only quantity, but also with its extraordinary beautiful design. On the central square of the city the cascade fountain «Rivers of Siberia» loved by all Krasnoyarsk citizens. It should be noted that not all cities of Russia and in Siberian federal district have such cascade fountains. In ensemble of the cascade fountain there are eight statues: seven symbols of the small rivers – nymphs – led by «father Yenisei». The models for the statues were ordinary residents of Krasnoyarsk.
